A Lithuanian university found plagiarism and academic integrity violations in Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevicius's doctoral thesis, giving him six months to address the issues. The ISM University of Management and Economics identified problems with academic writing, citations, and source attribution in his 2015 thesis. Although the university did not recommend revoking his doctoral title, it stated that the thesis did not meet independent research standards. Sinkevicius has denied the allegations, asserting that he authored the thesis himself and adhered to academic standards.
