Two Belarusian attackers entered Romania as tourists, rented an apartment in Brașov, and studied the Carfil factory for five days before executing a sabotage plan. They monitored the area and used bicycles to reach their target, setting the factory on fire. Their movements were closely tracked by Romanian authorities, leading to their arrest shortly after they crossed into Hungary. A Ukrainian accomplice, who financed their stay and provided instructions, has also been detained in Poland. Romanian authorities are now awaiting the extradition of all three suspects to continue the investigation.
