The drinking water in Curtea de Argeș has been declared potable again after nearly a year of being deemed unsafe. SC Aquaterm announced that the Public Health Directorate monitored the water weekly and confirmed its safety. Starting November 1, the price of water will revert to previous levels after a temporary reduction. The water supply had been contaminated due to increased turbidity linked to hydroelectric works, leading to the detection of harmful bacteria. Emergency measures were implemented, including providing potable water to residents. Improvements in water quality were noted after modernization efforts at the treatment station.
