The government has extended the measures to limit diesel price increases until February 1, 2027, due to ongoing oil market crises. This decision aims to protect the economy and consumers while ensuring energy market stability. Prime Minister Luca Niculescu emphasized the importance of monitoring energy needs and the impact of rising fuel prices on citizens. The Finance Ministry noted that removing the diesel tax reduction could lead to a price increase of about 0.85 lei per liter under current market conditions.
