The National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration (CNAIR) suggests diverting traffic on DN1 as a safer alternative during consolidation works on A10 highway. Risks of traffic jams, vibrations from construction machinery, and potential road degradation have been highlighted. Reducing speed from 130 km/h to 30 km/h over 10 kilometers could lead to significant congestion, especially during peak hours. Heavy machinery vibrations may worsen road conditions, while breakdowns could completely block traffic due to restricted lanes. Additionally, maintaining a 30 km/h speed limit poses challenges, as non-compliance could lead to accidents. The ongoing works may also increase water infiltration risks, further compromising road integrity. Therefore, CNAIR believes diverting traffic is a practical solution to ensure safety and facilitate construction.
