The Ministry of Health is launching a national project worth 180 million lei to establish specialized centers for addiction prevention and treatment. This initiative aims to support individuals affected by addictions, including children and adolescents, through day centers and therapeutic communities. The project will be funded by non-repayable European funds and will focus on continuous care post-discharge. Approximately 2,500 specialists will be trained to enhance prevention and treatment services. The initiative also emphasizes the importance of legal frameworks for post-treatment centers and aims to expand prevention programs targeting families and educational institutions.
