Four individuals have been charged for defrauding cemetery plot owners in the Capital, accumulating significant financial losses. The total damage exceeds 615,000 lei, 18,000 euros, and 23,000 dollars. The suspects misled victims into believing their graves caused flooding and required urgent repairs, using deceptive tactics to gain trust and request increasing sums of money. Some even posed as a priest to justify payments, employing counterfeit documents. Two suspects are under house arrest for fraud and related charges, while the others are under judicial control. The case has been forwarded to the court for further proceedings.
