Romania is racing against time to secure European funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) by addressing administrative issues before the November 6 deadline. The European Commission has requested additional documentation to verify compliance with investment requirements. Minister Mihai Alexandru Ghigiu emphasized the need for clarity on energy efficiency and environmental standards. Concurrently, authorities are working to safeguard nearly 370 million euros from cohesion funds, with a deadline of December 31 for necessary measures. Ghigiu is personally overseeing the completion of documents and payment requests to minimize the risk of losing these funds.
