The national unemployment rate decreased to 3.20% by the end of September 2026, with 256,480 registered unemployed, mostly from rural areas. Among them, 61,566 received unemployment benefits, while 194,914 were without compensation. The number of unemployed decreased by 4,439 in one month, with significant disparities between urban and rural unemployment. Men accounted for 51.2% of the unemployed, while women made up 48.8%. The highest number of unemployed were aged over 55, representing about a quarter of the total. Additionally, a significant portion of the unemployed had low educational attainment, with 61.51% having completed only up to primary education. These statistics reflect those officially registered and differ from the unemployment rate calculated by the National Institute of Statistics.
