Port workers from 22 countries are striking to protest against the war and the use of ports for arms exports. The strike, initiated by unions in Italy, France, Greece, Spain, Turkey, and Morocco, could disrupt over 40% of Mediterranean cargo traffic, affecting shipments worth more than $2 billion. Major ports like Hamburg, Valencia, and Piraeus are expected to be impacted. While participation levels remain uncertain, some ports anticipate limited disruptions, while others warn of significant service interruptions. The strike coincides with a general strike in Italy and aims to express solidarity with those suffering from war.
