In 2027, 550 residents from 217 families will return to their homes after seismic upgrades of their buildings. The consolidation of these nearly 100-year-old structures is being managed by the Municipal Administration for Seismic Risk Buildings. Two blocks are expected to be completed by January 2027, with additional buildings finishing throughout the year. The project includes significant renovations, and funding challenges persist due to lost PNRR funds. The municipality plans to start consolidating around 20 more buildings in 2027, financed through national programs. Currently, 415 buildings are classified as high seismic risk in Bucharest.
