The Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church will warn believers about the dangers posed by heretical and schismatic groups claiming to be Orthodox. Local eparchial centers will implement pastoral measures to inform the faithful about the risks of joining these groups. During a recent meeting, the Synod declared 2028 as the 'Year of the Use of Biblical Texts in the Liturgical Life of the Church' and approved various liturgical texts. The Synod expressed concern over the activities of these groups, which create confusion among believers and misuse Orthodox titles and practices. Additionally, the Synod discussed the pastoral care of foreign Orthodox and the involvement of religion teachers in future textbook projects.
