A substantial portion of the gas will support Romania's domestic consumption to ensure energy independence, while the remainder will be exported to other EU countries, particularly Austria. Delaney refrained from discussing specific contract details but noted that exports will be based on European prices. The Neptun Deep project is nearing 90% completion, with OMV Petrom holding a 50% stake alongside Romgaz.
