Rescue teams from Salvamont Gorj are urgently working to locate and assist two individuals lost in the Mehedinți Mountains after straying from marked trails. The operation involves both on-duty and off-duty rescuers, utilizing GPS and thermal imaging to find the individuals. The situation is critical due to dropping temperatures and the challenging terrain, which complicates the rescue efforts. Salvamont advises hikers to stay on marked paths and be mindful of time during hikes to avoid dangerous situations.
