The Moldovan Parliament will hold hearings to investigate the breach of personal data affecting around 750,000 citizens. President Igor Grosu emphasized the need for an inquiry to identify the responsible institution. The hearings are scheduled for November 4 and will be closed to the public due to confidential information. A significant cyberattack targeted public digital services from October 19-23, leading to the extraction of personal data. Authorities temporarily suspended 82 digital services to prevent further incidents. Following the breach, the head of the Electronic Government Agency resigned, and the Prime Minister acknowledged existing vulnerabilities in IT systems.
