The first budget rectification for 2026 has been announced, maintaining a deficit of 6.2% of GDP. Health receives an increase of over 3.2 billion lei, while local budgets are supported with 2.81 billion lei. The rectification aims to ensure funding for medical services, salaries, and social expenses by reallocating resources based on budget execution and estimated needs for the year-end. Finance Minister Alexandru Nazare emphasized that allocations focus on urgent needs and necessary investments, backed by a realistic assessment of revenues and payment obligations.
