Iurie Cara and Andrei Safonov are accused of promoting the ideology of the 'Russian world' and participating in unconstitutional acts. Serghei Verdeș's citizenship was revoked due to illegal acquisition despite a negative security service opinion. The actions are based on national laws allowing citizenship withdrawal for serious offenses against state interests. Sandu previously stated that reintegrating Transnistria requires the withdrawal of Russian troops.
