At least three people died in Cappadocia, Turkey, after a rock formation collapsed due to heavy rainfall. The incident occurred in Göreme near the Göreme Open-Air Museum, a UNESCO site. Governor Hüseyin Kök reported that the collapse was triggered by a landslide caused by recent torrential rains. Rescue operations are ongoing, with several injured individuals transported to hospitals. The adverse weather has also led to the cancellation of hot air balloon tours, a popular tourist attraction in the region. Göreme is a key destination for tourists, including many from Romania, especially during spring and autumn.
