The new building of the "Marius Nasta" Pneumophthisiology Institute in Bucharest was inaugurated with an investment of 120 million euros from non-repayable European funds. It features 115 beds, including 19 for intensive care, and three operating rooms. Health Minister Alexandru Rogobete announced preparations for relocating patients and staff will begin soon. The building, part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, offers modern facilities for patient care and medical staff activities. Although inaugurated, patient transfers have not yet occurred, with plans to ensure medical services continue safely during the transition. Rogobete emphasized the need for new hospitals in Romania, highlighting this project as part of ongoing efforts since 2022.
