A study by ASE suggests increasing meal ticket values from 45 to 50 lei to enhance purchasing power. The current indexing formula may freeze ticket values despite rising prices. Two proposals include adjusting the indexing formula or eliminating health insurance contributions on tickets. The study highlights the need for a formula that accurately reflects price increases. Additionally, it critiques the tax burden on meal tickets and vacation vouchers, advocating for a single taxation point. The reduction of vacation vouchers has significantly impacted tourism, while fewer social food tickets have reduced support for vulnerable populations.
