A significant investment of 250 million euros is set to transform Stăuceni, near Chișinău, into a commercial hub. The project includes a large shopping center aimed at attracting shoppers from both Moldova and Romania, particularly from Iași. Launched on October 28, 2026, by Moldovan companies SUMMA and FIBA, it represents about 1.3% of the country's GDP and is one of the largest private projects since independence. The mall is expected to create around 3,000 jobs and stimulate local economic growth, while also encouraging tourism in the capital. Authorities have not yet announced a completion date for the project.
