The management of Sidex Galați has announced its resignation amid a major crisis, with most of the 2,200 employees facing technical unemployment starting November 1 due to financial issues and energy supply difficulties. In an open letter, they warned that urgent measures are needed to prevent the loss of skilled personnel and equipment degradation. They highlighted the risks of industrial facility loss and security issues if energy supply is interrupted. The management has requested energy resources assurance until the sale of the plant and a responsible solution for employee retention. They emphasized the need for government involvement to protect both workers and assets, as well as to expedite the sale process to attract potential investors.
