Mircea Tanțău, director of Carfil, discussed a recent incident at the industrial platform in Brașov, which was linked to a sabotage operation allegedly orchestrated by Russian intelligence. He confirmed that the fire did not affect Carfil's production, as it occurred far from their facilities. Tanțău described the incident as a typical Soviet-style intimidation tactic aimed at creating panic. He noted that the company had been warned about potential sabotage earlier in the year and had increased security measures accordingly. Three suspects, including two Belarusians and one Ukrainian, were arrested in connection with the fire, which was part of a broader sabotage network targeting military and industrial sites in the region.
