ALIA emphasizes the critical need for tailored rehabilitation services for stroke survivors in Romania. Despite advancements in acute stroke treatment, only 30% of patients receive rehabilitation in neurology departments. The National Strategy aims to include over 90% of eligible stroke patients in rehabilitation programs by 2030. Access to recovery services is currently insufficient and geographically limited. ALIA advocates for accessible, continuous rehabilitation that meets individual patient needs and calls for transparent monitoring of progress towards strategic goals. On World Stroke Day, ALIA highlights the importance of recognizing stroke symptoms and ensuring timely access to recovery support.
