Five national trade union confederations have requested meetings with Prime Minister Luca Niculescu and other officials to address economic and social issues affecting workers in Romania. They aim to convene the National Tripartite Council for Social Dialogue to discuss the government's action plan and the minimum wage for 2027. The unions emphasize the need for a genuine social dialogue to protect workers' rights and living standards. A meeting is scheduled for Monday at the Government headquarters.
