The completion of the concrete crypt marks the end of the first phase of construction for a memorial dedicated to Bessarabian soldiers who died in World War I. The mausoleum, designed as an eight-meter obelisk topped with a cross, will feature inscriptions of the soldiers' names and a plaque honoring priests deported during Soviet repression. The project aims to create a site for remembrance and education, with an inauguration planned for November 11, 2028, coinciding with the centenary of the war's end. Fundraising efforts continue to support the next construction phases.
