In the first nine months of 2026, the recycling rate for aluminum cans reached 80.5%, up from 75% in the same period last year. The return rate of cans through the Deposit-Return System (SGR) increased to 85%, surpassing the previous year's 82%. Despite a 2.4% decrease in total packaging placed on the market, the number of cans increased by 2%. The summer months saw a dip in recycling rates, but September showed a significant recovery. Cans remain a key packaging type, holding a 29% market share. The Every Can Counts initiative promotes aluminum can recycling, emphasizing its environmental benefits and energy savings.
