One year after the explosion in Rahova, the upper floors of the affected building have been demolished for safety reasons. Reconstruction will start from scratch, as the structural damage was too severe above the fifth floor. Prior to demolition, specialists inspected around 270 apartments to assess the damage. Financial support for the affected families has been extended for another year, benefiting 43 households.
