The Vatican showcases eight historic Mercedes-Benz cars used by Popes since 1930 in an exhibition titled "A Century of Papal Cars." The display opened on October 28 at the Vatican Museums, highlighting the evolution of papal vehicles from formal transport to crowd-engaging automobiles. The oldest car is a 1930 Mercedes-Benz Nürburg 460, specially made for Pope Pius XI. The exhibition also features the first fully electric papal car, presented to Pope Francis in 2024. Visitors can explore the exhibition until January 31, 2027.
