USR criticizes the new PSD leadership at the Ministry of Environment for reinstating Doru-Dragoș Cazan, who had been dismissed after a scandal. Cazan returned to his position shortly after a four-month medical leave, which USR claims coincided with the political change in the ministry. Former Minister Diana Buzoianu highlighted the rapid revocation of Cazan's dismissal by Natalia Intotero, suggesting a miraculous recovery. The controversy stems from illegal gravel extraction investigations in Olt County, where Buzoianu accused Cazan of failing to take action against illegal operations. She also raised concerns about the legitimacy of Cazan's medical leaves and the delay in implementing a monitoring application for illegal gravel transport.
