NEPI Rockcastle has launched a new photovoltaic park in Prahova, Romania, featuring over 90,000 solar panels and a capacity of 56.2 MW. This project is part of a larger investment in renewable energy exceeding 100 million euros. The park, located on a former mineral aggregate extraction site, will produce an estimated 73,000 MWh annually, enough to power over 40,000 households. The investment aims to increase the company's renewable energy production to cover 31% of its total electricity consumption by the end of 2026. NEPI Rockcastle is one of Europe's largest shopping center owners, with a portfolio valued at 8.4 billion euros.
