Bulgarian company Glavbolgarstroy completed construction on the Bulgarian sections of the Vertical Gas Corridor ahead of schedule, enhancing gas supply diversification in Central and Southeast Europe. The project, initiated in 2017, faced significant logistical challenges but was praised by Bulgarian Energy Minister Iva Petrova during the Sofia Economic Forum. The corridor aims to provide new gas supply routes for the region, with participation from North Macedonia and Serbia. Despite international supply chain issues, the project was finalized, increasing transport capacity significantly. Discussions also included Bulgaria's nuclear energy plans and the need for private investment in energy infrastructure.
