The Christmas tree has been installed in the center of the Great Square in Sibiu, marking the beginning of the holiday preparations. The tree was set up quickly, and additional decorations will follow soon. This year, the tree's new location allows it to be visible from all corners of the square, a decision made by the City Hall. Local residents have expressed excitement about the upcoming Christmas market, which opens on November 13. The artificial tree, purchased in 2019, stands 24 meters tall and will be adorned with large ornaments and lights, remaining in place until January 3, 2027.
