On Wednesday, numerous truck drivers were fined on Valea Oltului for violating traffic restrictions on heavy vehicles. The joint action by Vâlcea and Sibiu police aimed to ensure compliance with road regulations and enhance traffic safety. Despite awareness of the restrictions, many drivers ignored them, leading to over 1,000 fines this year alone. The operation resulted in 79 penalties within three hours, highlighting ongoing issues with adherence to traffic laws. Restrictions are set to be lifted mid-November after safety improvements are completed on the road.
