General Iosif Rus, the oldest man in Romania, celebrated his 111th birthday and received the Army Honor Emblem during a ceremony in Gherla. The event was attended by Cluj prefect Maria Forna, who expressed gratitude for his service. Born on October 28, 1915, Rus has witnessed over a century of Romanian history and has received several honors, including the Order of the "Star of Romania". The ceremony highlighted the respect of the Romanian Army for those who served the nation. Previously, the title of oldest person in Romania belonged to Noja Paladia, who passed away in September.
