A significant investment of around 250 million euros has been initiated in Stăuceni, near Chișinău, aimed at boosting Moldova's economy and attracting Romanian visitors. Prime Minister Vasile Tofan highlighted that this project represents about 1.3% of Moldova's GDP and is among the largest private investments since independence. It is expected to create jobs, enhance services, and stimulate economic activity, particularly in tourism. Tofan expressed hopes that more people from Iași will choose Chișinău for weekend getaways. The investment involves a commercial and service complex by companies SUMMA and FIBA, which are also expanding into the energy sector with a new wind project.
