Over 36,000 students will receive a monthly social scholarship of 925 lei in the 2026-2027 academic year, funded by European and state budget sources. This initiative aims to support disadvantaged youth and reduce university dropout rates. The program is managed by the Executive Unit for Financing Higher Education, Research, Development, and Innovation, in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. Eligible students aged 18 to 29 must be enrolled in state-funded programs at participating universities. Previous beneficiaries must reapply for the scholarship. The project also includes support activities like webinars and workshops to enhance students' skills.
