The National House of Public Pensions has a new technocratic president, Vasilica-Valentina Robu, appointed by Prime Minister Luca Niculescu. This decision follows the resignation of Nicolae Giugea, who stepped down after the PNL party moved to opposition. Robu, from Vaslui, has extensive experience in pension legislation over the past eight to nine years. Her appointment is effective immediately, granting her a five-year term as president and head of the board.
