Alexandru Toader, son of former Justice Minister Tudorel Toader, has appealed against his preventive arrest for alleged sexual offenses. The High Court has set a hearing for November 3, 2026. Toader was arrested for 30 days due to accusations of rape and sexual assault against students. He allegedly exploited students' fears regarding their exam performance. Following his arrest, the University of Iași announced he would not teach until the case is resolved, and the Faculty of Law suspended his employment contract, ensuring continuity in students' education.
