The revised environmental agreement for sections 2 and 3 of the Sibiu-Pitești Highway may be issued in December, following discussions between the Minister of Transport and the Minister of Environment to expedite procedures. Delays in the last six months have hindered construction progress. After the agreement is issued, measures will be taken to release the necessary construction authorization. The highway is a strategic project for Romania and the EU. Previous delays were due to modifications requested by CNAIR, requiring a new agreement process.
