Romania must submit documents by November 6 to prove compliance with the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) targets, as the European Commission evaluates payment requests totaling approximately €6.45 billion. Minister Alexandru-Mihai Ghigiu met with European Commission Vice-President Raffaele Fitto to discuss recognition of Romania's PNRR implementation results. Ghigiu emphasized the need for flexible evaluation methods while adhering to the Plan's implementation decision. The revised PNRR allocates €20.1 billion, with €13.5 billion in grants. Romania has received around €13.2 billion so far. Discussions also covered cohesion policy programs and the future EU budget for 2028-2034.
