In Sibiu County, numerous violations of protection orders have been reported in 2026, with 91 offenses recorded for breaching court-issued orders. The police also noted 27 violations of provisional protection orders. Nearly 200 temporary eviction measures were implemented to safeguard victims. The report highlights a significant increase in domestic violence cases, with 764 incidents reported in the first nine months of 2026, marking a 28.84% rise compared to the previous year. Among the victims, 561 were women and 104 were minors. Police intervened in over 2,000 domestic violence cases, with many indicating imminent risk to victims.
