The Romanian leu depreciated against the euro and the US dollar on Wednesday, while it appreciated against the Swiss franc. The euro was quoted at 5.3495 lei, up by 0.08 bani, and the dollar rose to 4.8088 lei, increasing by 1.11 bani. Conversely, the leu strengthened against the Swiss franc, which was valued at 5.7911 lei. Additionally, the price of gold per gram increased to 625.4250 lei from 619.0144 lei.
