Over 36,000 students from disadvantaged backgrounds in Romania will receive monthly social scholarships of 925 lei for the 2026-2027 academic year. This financial support, funded by European and national resources, aims to prevent university dropout. Students who received scholarships last year must reapply. Eligibility requires students to be aged 18-29, enrolled in state-funded programs, and attending selected universities.
