The crowd, braving cold and rain, displayed banners and chanted slogans in support of Georgescu, who is facing serious criminal charges. The court is expected to set a date for the appeal hearing, with the preventive arrest mandates expiring soon. Georgescu has also been implicated in two additional criminal cases involving illegal operations with software and attempts to alter data. Investigators allege he attempted to locate surveillance equipment in his villa shortly after a police raid.
