Transport Minister Ștefan Ovidiu Popa visited the Sibiu-Pitești Highway construction site, mistakenly referring to a tunnel as "Momoa" instead of "Momaia." He announced that the section is nearly complete, with a physical execution status of 99.22%. The tunnel is about 1.35 kilometers long and is undergoing safety checks before opening in November. While Section 4 is close to completion, Sections 2 and 3 face delays due to environmental agreement issues, with only 45% of work capacity being utilized. Popa plans to meet with the Environment Minister to find solutions for expediting the project.
