A German angler set a world record by catching a 2.92-meter catfish during a competition in Poland. Oliver Schäfer, 34, was fishing with teammate Kevin Cremers when he hooked the massive fish. The event took place at a predator fishing tournament near Rybnik, Poland. Schäfer realized he had caught something extraordinary when he felt a strong tug on his line. The struggle lasted over 30 minutes before they successfully brought the fish alongside their boat.
