The Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) is launching a national development project called "The Second Union of Romanians" aimed at reducing regional disparities and enhancing infrastructure. The project will be officially presented on December 1, 2026, in Alba Iulia. It seeks to address issues such as uneven regional development and insufficient connectivity with neighboring countries. Key components include developing transport infrastructure, establishing a public-private investment fund for Moldova, and unifying educational standards and stock exchanges between Romania and Moldova. AUR emphasizes the importance of a north-south corridor linking Moldova to Dobrogea and Muntenia, with the Port of Constanța as a focal point.
