The Minister of Energy, Dumitru Chisăliță, anticipates that one of the reactors at the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant may restart around November 15, depending on hydrological conditions. Both reactors were shut down due to low water levels in the Danube, which increased energy imports. Although the water flow has improved recently, the timeline for restarting the reactor could change based on weather forecasts. The reactors typically contribute about 20% of Romania's electricity production, and safety remains a priority for their restart. Temporary measures have been taken to manage water levels in the Danube to support this process.
