Delays are expected for lots 2 and 3 of the Sibiu-Pitești Highway due to a lack of revised environmental agreement. Transport Minister Ștefan Ovidiu Popa stated that efforts are underway to resolve the situation and expedite construction. He plans to meet with Environment Minister Natalia Intotero to discuss the matter. Currently, work is only progressing at 45% capacity on these lots due to the environmental agreement being blocked. Popa could not provide a timeline for completion or confirm if the overall project will meet its December 2028 deadline. Meanwhile, lot 4 is nearing completion and is set to open next month, with safety systems being tested.
